BURBANK MUZZLELOADERS Newsletter April 2008 BML GUYS, GALS & FRIENDS,
NOTICE: The May musket match will be on the regular second Sunday, the 11th. Mothers Day and not the 4th as actually more members will be absent that weekend than the 11th. Targets will be 100,50 and 25 yards. The 1oo yard targets will be benchrest, the 50 and 25 offhand, figure 30 rounds of round ball or Mini bullets as either may be used. The March 30th trail walk was held in cool cloudy weather. Sam Baseman tied with 16, Tom taking the tie breaker target hit. Pictures on the website (in the gallery section) courtesy Mike McCormick. The April 13th silhouette match was on the other hand blessed with temperatures closer to 100 degrees, with humidity under 10 percent. John Clevenger with his new original 1841 Mississippi rifile took hi muzzleloader with 13 animals down. Tied with 14 animals in the cartridge class were Sam Baseman, Lee Bowman and Tom Trevor, no shootoff . Mike McCormick and John Hanger with 7 animals and SKIP with 1? Row pins went to Lee Bowman 5 chickens, Tom Trevor 5 pigs. Tom Andress was missed this week as he had spinal surgery for a disc problems and we hope he will be out and about soon.
