    The November work party was small but it got us ready for the rains and we were ready for the X-Mas match. Thanks to Tom T, Tom A, Sam B, Joe G, Eli C, Lee B, John M, Charlie A, and Skip S. for showing up and doing the work for the other members. Thanks Guys.   DUES ARE DUE!!!!

    The fifth Sunday Trail-Walk last month was 82 degrees with a stiff wind. This may be the reason that the scores were so low. Just look at the results for a possible 25 hits:

     1st – John Clevenger 13 hits                  2nd – Lee Bowman 12 hits
     3rd- Jim Eggleston 12 hits                      4th- Skip Stokes 9 hits
     Tied for 5th- Tom Trevor, Sam Baseman, and Alden Franks 8 hits

    Any other day the scores would have started at 22 or more hits running down to maybe 15 hits. What happen? Every one shot low and we can blame it on the wind but the wind only got heavy near the end of the match. It was a good day to shoot but a bad day to hit what we shot at.   DUES ARE DUE!!!!!

    It looks as if you may keep the same officers in office again this year. No one has yet stepped up to be an officer. Remember if you keep the same officers year after year you lose the right to complain on how the club is operated. Not to late, be an officer, just volunteer.     Dec. 14th was our X-Mas match. The temperature at 7:00 am was 31 degrees but NO wind which made it nice as the thermometer climbed to the high 60s by 1:00 pm. The turn out was disappointing as our members with filers in hand looked at the cloudless sky thinking rain? Who shoots in the rain? I guess not BML members!!!!! It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time. This is how it went:

   We wish to thank the non BML members who came up to spend the day with us; they made up more than a third of our match. Where were you members? Every year we put a lot of work into this match and cash wise it just broke even. We need to rethink doing this match next year, I for one am burned out.
    Again no one stepped up to run for office this year. As you wish, the same officers will be your officers next year if we don’t drop dead first, we are getting old and I have a feeling that we’ll be officers talking to Marty and Al before someone steps in to do the job.           DUES ARE DUE!!!!! $75.00

  December 28th will be the last match for the year. It is going to be our Trail-Walk shooting from the long stations. The ‘Shooter-of-the-Year’ is already set, Sam Baseman is so far ahead this year that he cannot lose it on the last match. Join us the 28th for 25 rounds for rifle and 27 for muzzleloaders; it is a cash back fun match. But, and it is a big but, if it rains, there will not do the Trail-Walk.     January club match is john Clevenger sponsored “First Shoot of the Year” on January 11th at 9:00 am. It will be paper 25 to 30 rounds 25 yards to 100 yards. Start 2009 with a BML bang, shoot with us.
