Members,

The March Club Match was the Tom Trevor cartridge Trail-Walk. This is always a great match and as always it was this month as well. The wind was cold in the shade but as soon as the match started and we went out in the sun and it stopped blowing. The day turned out very good for shooting. The tied results were broken by looking at six targets that were either hit or missed by each tied score sheet. (Did you understand all that? If so explain it to me.) The results was surprising:

1st with 17 hits LEE BOWMAN a tie               2nd with 17 hits TOM ANDRESS a tie
3rd with 17 hits JOHN CLEVENGER a tie     4th with 12 hits TOM TREVOR a tie
5th with 12 hits RICK WELLE a tie                 6th with 11 hits SAM BASEMAN

Since I have nothing to say this month, I’ll tell what Tom gave for prizes.
1st a pound of black powder, 750 cleaning patches, and a plastic bullet box.
2nd a pound of black powder, 250 cleaning patches, and a plastic bullet box.
3rd a pound of black powder, 250 cleaning patches, and a plastic bullet box.
     4th 250 cleaning patches

5th 250 cleaning patches, a leather gun case, a 45-70 book, two silver dollars,

6th a plastic bullet box and two boxes for 45-70 bullets (donated by Rick Welle)

As you can see Tom Trevor gives great prize. It was a good match, you should have been there.

You can still do the Trail-Walk this month, March is a fifth Sunday month. Sunday March 29th we will have our any gun Trail-Walk. We will be doing the “Mike Baggett two step Trail-Walk” version. This is a little different than shoot (hit or miss) and move to the next gong. This time you’ll have to hit the first gong before moving to the second, hit the second and move to the third etc. The one that hits the most gongs will be the winner. Be prepared to get ragged on while having fun. See you on the 29th.
